What started as the intention of launching a comprehensive equipment review directory to provide people with the information to make informed decisions about purchasing medical equipment, has developed into something much bigger.
Alongside their team of employees and volunteers, Founders and Directors of AYL, Felix and Lauren have successfully developed their service business, developing the Equipment Request Scheme, assisting users to find the equipment that works for them, as well as connecting them with partnered professionals. As part of the scheme, they’re able to provide access to exclusive discounts, as well as provide assistance when it comes to securing funding through their Grant Assistance Scheme.
In addition to the Equipment Request Scheme, they’ve launched an online platform where people can buy and sell preloved mobility equipment, as well as platform where other members of the disabled community can upload reviews of their personal, lived experiences when it comes to equipment.
